Miss Aruba Tan 2008-2009 Maggie Holmes
Thank you for your interest in becoming the next Miss Aruba Tan and becoming involved in our first official contest! Below you will find information regarding the contest, expectations, and activities involved. Please keep in mind that these terms can change at any time without notice.
· Round 1: Picture and application submissions (ongoing)
o Subject to review by Aruba Tan staff and designated consultants
o Can be used in marketing material for the event or future versions of the event
Round 2: Test Photos
· Selected applicants will have the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot at Aruba Tan Austin
o The initial photo shoot will consist of:
§ “Before”, “During”, and “After” photos of an airbrush tan
§ Pictures in each level of the tanning beds
§ Pictures in various parts of the salon
§ Pictures with tanning products
o Please bring a bikini or bikinis of your choice
§ Keep in mind you will be getting sprayed in this outfit
§ These pictures will be used for marketing, so please make sure the outfit isn’t too revealing
o If you would like to bring makeup or hair products for your post-spray photos, please do so.
· Test photos are the property of “Aruba Tan” and associated parties and may be used in any marketing or promotional material (including printed and online material, as well as social networking sites)
o Using any of this material does not automatically qualify you as Miss Aruba Tan
o If we do use your photo(s) you will be given a one time credit of $150 to be used at Aruba Tan on ANY purchase.
§ Photos used in marketing of the “Miss Aruba Tan 2010” contest does not constitute “use of photos,” it merely designates you as a participant.
Round 3: Final Judging
· Test photos will be submitted to a panel of Aruba Tan Staff, designees, and also placed in an online contest for Miss Aruba Tan. Marketing for the contest will take place on Facebook, a reliable online survey company (for voting), and via Aruba Tan’s customer email list.
o Round 2 does not automatically qualify you for round 3
· Miss Aruba Tan will be named before June 1st
Compensation and Responsibilities of Miss Aruba Tan
· Miss Aruba Tan will receive:
o 1 year unlimited Platinum-Level Tanning ($1019 value)
o 1 year unlimited Airbrush Tanning ($1428 value)
o Free tanning lotion (up to $600)
§ 2 bottles initially
§ To receive a new bottle, just exchange empty one
o Free Spray Tan Products (up to $500)
§ 2 bottles initially
§ To receive a new bottle, just exchange empty one
o TOTAL VALUE: up to $3547
o All benefits expire 6/1/2011
· Responsibilities (to be listed in full detail at contest end)
o Initial photo shoot in multiple outfits with multiple products
o Live modeling appearances at events
§ Typically airbrush demonstrations
o Several photo shoots throughout the year
· Miss Aruba Tan will appear on multiple marketing mediums including print, online, posters, banners, and potentially billboards or TV.
· She will become the “face of Aruba Tan” for the coming 12 months
